I use both premiere and Vegas(primarily Vegas). I'm crazy I bought both of them. An interesting thing about Vegas is that it seems to just run faster than premiere no matter what I do, and also when I export I'm less likely to have something go wrong with Vegas. another interesting thing about Vegas is that it now supports AVS no problem no matter what your script is, as long as it reads in AVSedit it'll read in Vegas. You need to get the new features in the new DGindex with Vfapi support and use Vfapi to convert them to fake avis to read in Vegas. I get no slow down with most of my avs scripts when I use them in Vegas, maybe because I use filters like mftoon, etc after I export my video in Huffyv format, also sometimes do some filtering with VirtualDub as well.
