I actually don't know if it's possible; my copy of Windows XP is legal, so.
I have a pirated copy of Windows XP pro since my legit copy of home ran out of CD key uses from reformating so much. You can't get automatic updates with the pirated copy unless you use a CD key changer. But I find the windows updates rather useless and annoying so I dont bother updating. Sorry to mislead you, I thought you were saying that you couldn't use Update BECAUSE your XP is pirated....
Couldn't hurt to try Windows Update and see if it works, though.
Mines Too is Legal but as I'm nearly sure there is no problem in update pirate versions. At least being pirate, if work, is because the software is completely copied.
