I've had a few questions about how the voting was done at AMA this year. So ill let everyone know :D

Every person who came to the showings were handed a ballot as they walked in the door. The ballot had each video listed sperated by catagory in the order in which they were played (alphabetically) with a box next to each. The fans checked the box next to the video they liked best for each catagory. (pens were provided)

The ballots were collected as the atendees left the AMV showing and we also had a drop off location in CON OPS for anyone who needed some time to simmer :P The ballot boxes were sealed prior to counting.

Around 1AM Saturday Night me and 4 other people ordered some pizza broke open the ballot boxes from each night and tallied how many votes each video got. Any ballot with more than one check per catagory was considered invalid. (there were only maybe 10 invalids)

3 hours later.. the results were in we kept the results secret (even from the staff) and announced the winners at closing ceremonys. With the exception of Adam who recieved his prize in the middle of the night because he was about to leave.

FUN!
YAY!

Eye to Eye (...sort of) That was your video I voted for it. I thought it was a good match to the anime.

I'm glad it was shown even though I was last not bad for one of my first cons since both of the cons I entered were held on the same day.
Thanks
Yup, your video easily made it into the finals, and when it was shown actually had alot of people singing along to it :) Guess you did a good job picking the song

That would be awesome. I was really hoping that I could meet you this year, and was dissapointed that you weren't there. Alot of people (including myself) were laughing hysterically to Body Movin'. I hope that your surgery went well, and I hope that you are there for next year's contest!
Brakus wrote: Again, I was amazed that people said to me, "Oh, I didn't vote for you, I voted for blah-blah-blah, but you put together a great video. I didn't think you could put Madonna together with Spriggan, but you convinced me!"

Time to move on and plan for the next contests....
If I had a nickle for everytime I heard that exact comment about the madonna thing this past weekend.... I would have a shiney little pile of nickles.. >_< I thought that the combination worked awesome, and will always think of Spriggan when I hear that song from now on. :P

Congrats to YOU! Your videos did really well this year, and everyone really seemed to enjoy them. My hat is off to you.

Indeed. it did very well this year. I noticed that you even created a DVD cover for it that you claim to submit with your video for cons... I am still waiting for it >.> <.<

It was an extremely cute video :) I remember during the judging for the judge's award, one of the judges said "Full Metal Alchemist... in COMEDY?? 0_o how the hell does that work??" and then after seeing it saying "Ohhhh *that's* how". Definately a great editing job on that one.

Heh... if you want the full DVD just give me an adress to ship it to. I made 50 coppies for Anime Boston and they all went in less than a minute but i still have 50 empty DVD cases sitting in my front hall that are just waiting to be used for something.

Thanks :D

Really that happened?

Well I'm glad people enjoyed it. I also heard that in the other con I entered it that people were dancing to the song outside the showing room when it was playing.

I'm just glad people enjoyed it.

Thanks again.

It's just too bad there are never any cons up where I live - I really wish I could have been there :(
