Eh, no need to reply there. I'll just reply here, and you're right about everything. I'll only point out 1) the release date. 2) my capture device.
1) Release date was January 2003. It's now June 2005. The only reason I mention this is because made some comments about refering to the guides and the like. This isn't really applicable anymore, but I really appreciate the comments.
Admittedly, the whole reason I asked for an op on this is because even though it DID suck, I learned a LOT of stuff that has helped me create much better videos. The more people give me an understanding of what they think went wrong when I tried ineffectively to use those skills, the better I can use them to execute my ideas in the next one. I'm about three days out from releasing my next video. You should see a DRASTIC difference. Night and day. Hopefully, two and a half years will do that. Also, of course, this means I don't have source or project files anymore. I'd literally have to redo this video from scratch, although if I did, it would probably be closer to 7s across the board or higher, judging from how I've improved.
2) Capture Quality: I have the DVDs, but as also stated in the description that I had only a Dazzle 80 to capture from. Not to say Dazzle is bad if you know what you're doing (look at MexicanJunior's Service With A Smile, that's MY Dazzle he used) but no matter what I tried, it would only allow me a limited choice of compression codecs, and none of them were very happy. Same thing happened in what I consider to be my best released vido, my CCS one. Because of the Dazzle, everything looks washed out and gamma correction didn't really change all that much. DVD rippers were available, but they were hard to find, and the ones I did find had some serious issues with interlacing, etc. Anyhow, point being this video was a hardware nightmare all around.
Thanks for the op, and it deserved what you gave it, no doubt about it. Kinda surprised you didn't like the song, but *shrug*.

This is a solid well paced video. I'd suggest it to anyone.ANTDrakko wrote:Anime: Ayashi no Ceres (Ceres, Celestial Legend)

Now before you cringe because its Avril Lavigne, let me assure you that its not NEARLY as bad as her other songs. Most people seem to think its a decent song, and those people usually hate Avril Lavigne.
Anywho, Thanks in advance.

I agree with you 100% about the "you could have done this" parts, but there simply wasn't footage for that. Trust me, I watched the entire series at least 10 times during the making of the video ::twitch:: . I was THIS close to simply re-animating the damn thing just to make it work >_<.
Oh well. Oh, and yes, at the end I admit I was getting tired of the song/anime and I felt it needed to end.
Thanks again for your op. Its essentially the best op I've got for any of my videos, and I don't mean score, I mean helpfulness.
