- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

well,thanks about the critics
.This is my 3th amv,and I don't have to much attempt of making amv's.The whole idea in The Lost Paradise was ,that I've try to make amv with fxs - just for training, and for fun, ofcourse. In the beggining i've just put randomised scenes with no plot, and after 1,30 min I've try to put some subjecт/plot.The fxs wеre all, that i've got prominence to (excuse my bad enlish again

79,2 Mb/88 % -video,and 11 Mb/12 % audio -Microsoft ADPCM . Mpeg Layer 3 makes some strange noises on my PC,so i didn't use it.Rozard wrote:Also another thing, if you would have compressed the audio, you could have shrunk the filesize significantly, to about 60 MB.
Just so you know, I'm not trying to be mean, I'm trying to be constructive.

dang, that's still pretty big. I thought the audio was an uncompressed (PCM) WAV. A 192 KB/s MP3 might have been a little smaller, I'm not sure. As for the video size, it's due to the effects in it. High motion and less drawn out scenes will always drive the filesize up. Did you tried reducing the frame size? That can make the file smaller, but it might not look good in the interest of the effects.NoGreyProduction wrote:79,2 Mb/88 % -video,and 11 Mb/12 % audio -Microsoft ADPCM . The encoding problem seems to be a widespread problem for AMV makers here in Bulgaria
Actually this one is quite all-right. You should see the 180MB wmv of one of the other...erm...major BG AMV makers, which i was supposed to convert to 80MB avi without loosing any quality before uploading it here...which I did(and actually replaced the bass-boosted low-quality PCM uncompressed audio with a neat 192kbps HQ mp3...
) and will upload next week
BTW it's not necassary to render the video and audio together(in case there are some problems with it like NoGrey~~~ has). You can just add an mp3 or whatever with virtualdub provided that the mp3 syncs with the video, wich is not that hard to do.

Nope. There's no website with info about this. Well there is some random stuff and discussions in two of the BG anime forums but I doubt it will be of any use...unless you know bulgarian of courseAMV-Contest in Bulgaria? Sweet. Do you have any website with some info or something? I'm always looking for other contests in europe
P.S. There's no edit button

You've got some interesting effects in there. In a different kind of AMV, they'd be right at home. However, the three most important things in an AMV - the anime, the music, and the approach to editing - seemed mismatched to me in this video. I've always thought of "Shh" as a rather seductive song, and, and its pairing with the nostalgically innocent Beyond the Clouds felt odd to me. And the effects - well, you've already heard about those.
Keep editing though. This video shows potential.
