"...Other than that, my only real complaint is the overuse of the static transition..."
Hmmm.. yeah that was kinda overused, but it was either that or Fade to black... and over my dead body was i gonna go with that. But I completely understand that it would get tiring. Thanks for pointing it out, it'll be fixed in the sequel or other tech vid.
808-buma:
ditto - the one comment I'd add it that I was expecting at the end the vid would then conclude with a similar scene as the beginning (back to talking anime again), just to add some closure to it.
Believe me i wanted to do that! I was afraid if i add another 15-20 seconds to vid, the size and quality would suffer [its suffering already as it is] One more prob that'll be fixed in the next one.

Yup! I The effect turning on & off did overpower the vid, but i did add action syncing. Particularly with Lee's part - Taijutsu Punches, going in and out of a stance, small things. Also Sasuke's Fire Techniques were spewed out on the beats. Like i said small things... but thanks for clearing it up, I'll make it 50/50 next time.

It seemed more like a demo trailer for a video game than a music video. It's kind of hard to tell what exactly you were going for. If you were going for just a really techy, little-substance, effects show, than that's cool. If you were going for an actual music video, than.. eeeeeeeeeeeehh.....
Ummm.. Yeah i was going for an AMV, but I wanted to do something different i just wanted to add some originality to the AMV world. To show there are other possibilities that are unexplored.
I also agree on the lack of variety in the effects. A lot of the motion, shapes, etc. looked duplicated throughout the entire thing (not ALL of it mind you, just quite a few things)
I know there were some lack of variety or duplicated effects, and for various reasons. but to name a few:
1. I mission on as i did because, i wanted Gaara's part to look special. I know it sounds silly "Why comprimise the 70% vid to make one char look cooler?" Well thats the I am... sorry. The repitition of, lets say the the Hexogon effects were deliberate, too make Gaara's scenes look cooler. Lol I know lots of you must shacking their heads, but hell, what can I say I like gaara.
Another huge reason I stuck with those repetitive Hexagons... is because everything else looked crap... what i mean is... at the beginning of Lee's section I knew ppl were going to get antsy over the Hex's. So I tried Triangles, squares, Octagon, blobs, pentagons, any gon or shape you can think off, and to me it looked crap! So i decided to stick with the Hex's, knowing it would affect the outcome. But thanks for voicing the concerns. I'll 200% next time, I'll put a lot of variety in next time. Thanks

It could have used more fx
ZOMJ! LOL. I think I would been hung if I put more in.
SnhKnives:
If you enjoyed making it then good job
O yes I did!! And if its popular enough, I'll make another one
EVERYONE, THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

VERY impressive indeed ! I can't hardly guess what kind of effect have been used here and there...(for example, how did you make the size of the text boxes change ?)
Good to see it is still possible to make an original AMV with a very-used anime like Naruto....
It becomes one of my personal top10 vid.... you guy rule

The funny part is that the actual intro to Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3 is a mish-mash of poorly chosen fight scenes to loud music
This was fun and different and that's all that really matters to me

I think the opposite, actually. I think the colors accentuated the feel of the song and the tone of the video. As for the blurs and static, I think a lot of that was done with artistic intent. You did a great job transitioning between scenes with the static and color transparency. Possibly my favorite instance is 1:17 to 1:19, when Sasuke pulls the Chidori along the wall, and it disintegrates the clip into the next scene where he has it thrust into Gaara.mexicanjunior wrote:Cool effects but I felt all the colors and blurs hurt it, I couldn't make out several of the action sequences. Still looked like alot of work was put into it, seemed like an intro to a Naruto video game or something.
I like this video, and I take it for what it is, an effects orgy. It's a great techinical video. It can't be discounted for having a weak story because there almost isn't one. The story is in the beginning when Anko receives the video. After that, it's all technical wizardry.

total shit, where was the fucking point??
just random hexagons for no reason... just for making a shitty effects video with no point... i hated it, random colors, random clips, put to a random song, with random trackmattes and static, although it was decently timmed, it was a shitty piece of shit shitfest. some people should not be allowed to touch computers, You, Drngd, and SNH whaa man...
all i ask is, what was the point of the video, why were there hexagons, whats with the random colors, and why.. for fuck sake, why is there even a son involved... you could have done the same video to random scenes, random song and it would look the exact same, there is no originality here, you sir shall burn in hell next to koop... i pity you more then i pity voices of ryan, sputnik and SQ combined... you suck... im gunna go watch Charizard's way again, because i want only death after that...
