AMV Radio

If the site is going to "syndicate" a radio station, it needs to be accessable to people on low bandwidth connections. I didn't fancy having RDS buffer on me every two seconds. Obviously, you're going to need two sets of broadcast streams for the show.

They dont make amv's easily accessible to poor, suffering, sexy 56kers so why should they do the same for rsd? Oh and about rsd radio, this aint exactly the right place to complain about it.

Also, may I point out that RDS is not syndicated by the .org. I say it's better to complain to RDS directly in this case.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Actually, we have syndicated at least one show for them, and we're planning on doing more.

As far as the multiple bandwidths, those technical details still need to be worked out.

Apparently, you didn't know that RDS Radio is becoming AMV Radio. Get your facts straight before you make posts, BUM.

An immediate thing that would help would be to compress the recordings into smaller files - wma would be 1/5th the size of an mp3, with about the same quality. It would at least let some of us download a copy of the 'show' and listen to it. I can't speak for all dial-up users, but I don't have 12 hours to download a huge 100+ mb mp3. I'd sooner try downloading anime episodes.

Instead of MP3, whoever has been recording the shows lately has been compressing them in 128 kbps bitrate. The show is broadcast in 64 kbps, so if it were just compressed in 64 kbps, then it'd be half the size and there'd be a lot less wasted space.

2 bitrates might be better as well, but not always. Bandwidth is the main issue, so one stream of medium quality is best.

I have no idea what that is, but if it's smaller than the current mp3s, and plays in Windows Media Player, or Winamp3, I'm all for it. ;p
