  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

"Individuality" Upbeat/Sentimental AzuDaioh vid (A

Post by Ashyukun » Thu May 19, 2005 7:44 pm

Yes, for those of you who were keeping count- there were six of us who had Azumanga Daioh videos at Anime Central 2005's AMV contest. If you want high energy and great humor, grab one of the three that won awards (Suberunker's, DWChang's, and ilikea's). But if you still haven't seen enough Azumanga Daioh videos, and/or want something a bit more sentimental, you can grab my entry to the contest-

"Individuality"

Many thanks to Gambitt for the original idea and giving me his blessing to make the full video- especially since I took it in a rather wildly different direction than his first few seconds of it were going. It's not quite your garden-variety AzuDaioh video, but I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

Now, to go attempt to recover from ACen and the week of vacation that followed it. X_X

Huzzah, it's posted! Now I can sing it's praises! (or maybe not, I'm not exactly the greatest of singers)

I can seriously say that that was one of the best videos I've seen in a long time, very...different.

This was one of my favorite videos from the entire contest and it's no surprise that I have already downloaded it and will be keeping it.

Thanks, everyone! Yeah, this year does seem to be starting out pretty darn Azumanga-heavy- but I can't say that it really surprises me. This is the first con-year where the entire series has been out domestically, and it's both an incredibly fun series to work with and has absolutely beautiful footage to work with. Add in it being a wildly popular series, and viola- lots of videos.

But it seems like most if not all of the videos I saw to it at ACen at least used it really well, and each took a different approach to the series, so at least we're not all making the exact same kind of video to it. :)

That was great ;p This realy is the year of the azudai...
That was alot of fun, and actually the azudai video that captures the mood and spirit of the anime the best IMO.

Great job.

I'm not exactly the biggest azudai fan but the videos to it are very good :)
