Taran, obviously I know who Isis is. But picking "Jasper" plus the baseline assumption that most people here are male would easily lead to that mistaken identity. I didn't think of it at all, actually; I don't usually think of people's genders unless it comes up in conversation. 'cause... I'm not hitting on any of you, so I don't see why it'd be relevant.
About female editors and bishounen: It's always the louder, more extreme minority in a group that sets the notoriety of the group at large. Not all female fans are like "OMG SQUEE TEH BISHISEXXX", but that group of them is loud and scares the fanboys, so they kind of overshadow the rest of the group. There are tons of cases where this happens, just think about it. (Are all DBZ fans illiterate? No.)
That is, not everyone in that group makes them, but those that do are overgeneralized into a stereotype. I don't like that all female fans are tarred with this brush; it's not fair to those who don't fit the profile. (I don't think there's anything wrong with being a shounen-ai fan, obviously, but most of you do, so I know it is an insult.)
So no, not all female editors make omghotgaysex videos. The majority of them don't. Heck, I kind of don't, and yet here I am speechifying on behalf of a group I'm not even really in. :p
Anyway. You can't make broad assumptions about all female editors. Just can't. Enough male editors have done drippy "my girlfriend is JUST LIKE [fill in random anime chick here]!!!!" romance videos that everyone should have abandoned the notion that boys only do action and girls only do romance. We're all human here, people! Humans, and fans, and usually nerds with a lot of time on our hands. ;P Now everybody join hands and sing "Kumbaya" before the beatings start.
