maybe you guys could make it so when we look at a videos information we can see how many times it was downloaded just a sugestion

you can usually get a rough idea by looking at the hits part, it averages about 3/4

What would really be useful is the average number of views a video has had so you can see if is a video that is worth re-watching.

...And a million dollers.

I see no problems with this suggestion. None. For local videos the number of stars already gives you an idea of the downloads (80-90% of downloaders star a video, if the vid has over 1000 stars, the percent moves closer to 70). I could swear we used to be able to see how many downloads direct and indirect vids had on the search pages (don't know if this has been changed since then). There's no problem with 'fake inflation' since you can always click your page over and over to get lots of 'hits' - if you're wanting to look like the vid is popular.

My question: Why would you want to see the number of downloads?

I don't see the need for it (with the star count and hit count), so I'm curious.

You can just go to edit my videos on the member menu to see how many people downloaded your music videos it shows Local(30) etc.

Yes, but you can't see how many times other people's vids have been downloaded.

I actually like the idea.

Hey,

The star count is roughly the number of downloads. You can search for videos using star count and star average ranges in the Super Search if you have donated.
