If you browse this section a little - a few pages back - you'll see that this sort of thread comes up ever so often. The response usually ranges from appologetic refusals to outright flaming criticism toward the person posting.

Main thing? This isn't a good place to recruit 'workers' for your website. AMV creators don't get paid, so they rarely work for others. Also, finding a single editor (let alone many) willing to work just for your site, is unrealistic. Asking for the 'best' to work for you is suicide. The people we tell you are the best aren't going to make videos for you, and you'll alienate those 'average' creators who might have been interested.

Your best bet is to browse the top lists (since you're asking for excellent creators). Find amvs you like and contact the creators to see if you can host them on your website. If you want people who will make videos with special themes (to fit your site), try the AMV Suggestions section. Or contact your favorite creators and see if they will take your request.

Just to note, I like the layout of your site, it looks very just, clean.

Wow, the site is exquisitely done! However, I would heed Ari's advice on this one and lay off the recruitment for a while.

Unfortunately there is a double standard here. I'm sure if studios like NHMK or RDS or Bloodsugar made a thread asking for creators, they would be swarmed. However, if you're new everyone will assume that you suck and flame you. Just a warning...

There is a difference between recruiting AMV makers as site staff and recruiting AMV makers to join your studio.

Remember the early days of Destination Skyline (early 2004 for those who don't)? The whole point of the studio was originally to gather the best new creators they could find. In retrospect, I'd say the experiment went off pretty well. :)

Hmmm I am just looking for people who enjoy making amv and dun mind their work getting known through ssanime.. and but it doesn't mean I am looking for best creators but I am also not looking for new designers either just in between.

AMV designers will be given full credits for their work
but the video will be copyrighted to ssanime so no other site can steal it.

I don't think you grasp the implications of your intention. At all. That is, I don't think you even have a basic understanding of copyright.

At all.

Let's break this down into cases. In all cases I assume that the editor working for you (somehow) gives up his or her copyright to your site.

(1) Music not created by AMV editor; video not created by AMV editor. In this case, you have NO right to re-copyright the resulting AMV, unless you somehow manage to obtain such (extreme) permission from the original creators. The most you could do is perhaps copyright the edits/special effects/any original animation tidbits.

(2) Music not created by AMV editor; video created by AMV editor with redistribution rights. In this case you still can't copyright the video, as the music is still not under either the control of you or the AMV editor.

(3) Music created by AMV editor with redistribution rights; video not created by AMV editor. See case (2).

(4) Music created by AMV editor with redistribution rights; video created by AMV editor with redistribution rights. This is the only case in which you'd get away with such an act.

Take a wild guess at how many AMVs fall into the partition created by case (4).

anyway, id say your best bet is to contact editors personally, a post like this only makes you seem like you dont know what you are doing.

back when i founded Dskyline, whenever i wanted to ask someone about joining, id always contact them personally.
