Idea I've had for a while! x.x

Uhm. Yeah, I haven't really been doing any AMV work on my own in quite a while. I am very clueless on how to rip DVD's, and the guide doesn't make sense to me. Why? I am very computer illiterate. So my stupidity has prevented me from doing any AMV's for at least two years now. How sad!

Though here's an idea I've had for a while. I used to have the entire video planned out, but I forgot most of what I wanted in it.

Anime: Utena: The Movie
Song: "Die Another Day" - Madonna.

The video would feature mostly on Utena and her conflict between Anthy and Touga. Basically it would be a character profile, and go through the movie as the song moves along, but not to the point of it being a spoiler.

The main thing I had layed out was that in the chorus, it would feature the fencing scenes that are all throughout the movie. Mostly because the chorus' lyrics are, "I guess I'll die another day" and by fencing it's kind of like... Utena surviving, blah blah blah... she'll die another day.

This probably sounds like crap on a stick because my description sucks, but it's a video I've wanted to see done for a while now, and the ones that have been done were nowhere near to what I was thinking.

I never thought of that song going with Utena:The Movie, but hey I could try and make the video for ya.

I have the movie on dvd. So which version of the song do you want? Do you want the full version of the song? Because if ya do I will think about making an Utena mv with that song for ya, but you would have to help me what scenes you want for certain lyrics so I can make it the way you really want it.

This song is tricky because it has a very stilted rythem, but if you think you can get the timing right it's a great song for a video. Check out this one to see what I'm talking about:

Do you want me to do the mv like that exactly with using the Utena Movie? I'm sure I can but I won't be able to do those effects the person used in that mv and I don't think I would want to copy them exactly because that would be considering copying but just with having a different anime to the song. Well I am thinking about making the mv for ya another way, I'm thinking about using my style that I have a thought of somewhat to do the mv. Would that be ok with you?

I saw that Madonna video a while ago. It's wonderful :O

Because the song is so choppy, I would expect the entire video to be pretty choppy, except along the chorus (which is the only 'smooth' part of the song.)

As in, though one part of a scene can for for 1 - 3 lines of lyrics (depending on how it fits) at each break in Madonna's voice the scene would perhaps skip a few frames, or show small 'flashes' of black in the very short pauses.

Which means that the video will require a lot of work to do.
Which makes me very sad that I can't do this.

SacredArrow - =D If you made this video I would love you forever and ever and ever. Yes, I would like you to stick to the movie, so the art style doesn't change. Also, I haven't seen the entire tv series, but from the half of what I've scene I feel that the movie would be a much better fit for what I was thinking of.

And I'm not sure what your style is (I'll D/L some of your vids in a moment!) but I'm sure that it could work very well with it.

And, yes. The full version of the song would be great for use, unless you feel that it runs a little long. Then you can use the shorter verison or perhaps cut/edit the long verson.

oh alright. I will try and make it the best mv you have seen. I got some idea on how to make the video go with the beat of the music. and remind you that the mvs that I have uploaded on this site are old ones that I made in 03-04 I only have a few that I made this year. I have no problem of making this mv for ya. I would be glad to make it. I am soon going to start working on it after I rip the footage off the dvd. It will take some time to get done with it of course, but the more time spent on making an mv the better it is,right?yep yep yep. lol

No problem. At least it gives me a mv to do with the anime Utena because I haven't ever made any mvs with Utena only my twin sister has which hers is really awesome. I love it. She has it uploaded on the site if you want to check it out, you'll love it too. Oh and part of the mv I am working on now with Utena it is going to be awesome. You'll love it.
