Who here is suffering from Otakon Deadline Insanity?

Post by genestarwind21122 » Thu Mar 31, 2005 10:30 pm

I'll tell you one thing for sure I'm suffering from Otakon deadline insanity for sure. This is the first time I'm entering a video that hasn't debute on the org before appearing in a contest. I wasn't going to do it at first but I figure hey since it is late Feburary I'll start on another video and I'll have it done by the deadline. The more I work on the video the more of a monster it becomes. I have to say this newest video goes beyond anything else I have done and it is driving me crazy. Are you guys suffering from Otakon insanity? And if you are how do you deal with it? I mean you probably work or go to school/college and between all the other work you do, how do you deal with it? So little time so much editing. Well see you around. Time to work late again. Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!! Insane!

NEVER RUSH YOUR VIDEOS FOR CONS

5 years from now nobody will remember who won Otakon in 2005 but you'll still be watching your rushed video constantly reminded of why it isnt just right.

F that.

That's why I last year I sent a video that already debute and it actually still made the finals despite the fact it was made in Feburary and was out for a while?? Hmmm, is debuting a video before a contest that critical then. Well I'm not going to rush it but I'll be putting in some later nights. I got about 20% of it done and I'm trying to get the more difficult stuff out of the way first so the easier stuff willn't take as long.

Don't worry about the contest. It's not something that's gonna majorly affect your life. Take your time on the vid, and if you don't finish on time for the contest, just enter it in whatever next contest comes up you're interested in. =/

I would be suffering from AnimeCentral deadline insanity (because the video we're working on is in the Theme category), except for my persistent apathy that prevents me from working on it... :x

i usually don't like to force myself to rush through a video. but i may have to for this year's otakon, simply because it may be my only chance, if not second to last chance, to create a vid for a con that i will actually be attending.

seeing how i'm halfway going through my source and haven't even started editing, i see some 24-hour binges ahead.

*Dusts off some old unfinished projects*

Guess this would be a good time to finish one of those up if I'm entering this year (Wish's to). Too bad my current project is a trailer or I'd probably send that. Sigh.. well at least I won't have to rush, GL with yours.
