Why are so many people against using rap music in AMVs?

i think the big reason most ppl don't use rap is that most rap is about how badass the guy is, or something like that.

but for a suggestion, Jean Grae does some love rap songs. she's good.

Sweet. I just watched all of those and its nice to finally get to see some rap amvs. I have become more motivated to both work on my own amvs adn write some ops for those ones.

Actually, this is mostly just a misconception. If you listen to the less popular rap, and especially older rap (80s/90s), there are a hell of a lot of songs about jesus, or about love, or about anything any other music is about. I dont know, but i would guess that the reason you think this is cuz you dont actually listen to much (if any) rap, and therefore, you prolly shouldnt be making this generalization.

Also, if this is the reason, explain why there arent more country amvs or classical music amvs, or any other number of genres of music.
