Most of these people try to forget that ...

Well, I can't say my first couple of video announcement threads had much of a response either...
Tips for people that create a video announcement thread:

Put the title of your video in the topic or the anime/song combo if it is an interesting combination to get people's attention.

Don't mention that this is you first or second video. Some people avoid these threads because typically, a creator's early videos aren't good.

Put a link to your video's profile. A lot of people will either post the link for you or mention that you should have posted one if you don't do this. Either of these tend to bring the announcement thread off topic.

Give information about the video in your post. Sure it is on the profile page you linked to but some people click the back button if there is no information given...

Don't get upset if someone says they don't like your video. People are entitled to their opinion no matter how crappy it might be. The worst thing that can happen to your thread is for it to go off topic because of an arguement. Once again, if people enter the thread and see a childish argument they may be inclined to hit the back button.

Respond to the people that comment on your video and thank them for watching.

Don't ask for opinions, while this is a thread announcing
your video, people come here in their own interests to find something good with little hassle. If people leave an opinion, great. Keep in mind if you really want/need feedback that there is the
Opinion Exchange forum.

Don't bump your threads (Or update them with information no one cares about such as "Hey, I just added a another download link in my video profile!") While bumping is discouraged in the enitre forum it frowned upon much more here. People announce videos everyday and when you bump your thread you move everyone elses down the page.
