I have had this idea in my head for a long time. I am really glad that i didnt try to make a video out of it until now though. I just wasnt good enough before. I have gotten much better since i started to make vids, although there is still much to learn. I spent about 48 hours on this vid. I first made one that i wasnt really happy with. I then saw all the things that i could make better. So i did.
IDEA:
FFX: This song is meant to be a little bit ironic. Its like, Yuna tries her best all the time to save Spira. And she she manages to do so. But at what cost? At first she believes shes gonna die when she defeats Sin. Still she carries on. Later it is learned that thats not gonna happen. In the final battle, Tidus reveals that he will disappear after Sin is defeated. Still they do it. So Yuna, who basically saved everyone and made them happy is left with nothing. You really have to loose in order to win. Its like, "Everybodys happy now..." and so on. Except me.
FFX-2: The idea with this was almost the same. I need to do some lyrcis explaining here.
"And theres a million mouths to feed, and ive got everything i need" : Yuna needs to sing to a lot of people, so that they can understand a few things. And shes got everything she needs in her dream. Tidus is with her again.
"Im breathing" :Tidus and Yuna get killed in her dream. But she wakes up and realizes shes still breathing.
"And theres a hurting thing inside" : Yuna thinking about her dream and what it actually meant.
"And ive got everything to hide" : Lenne appears. She is the only one who knows why Yuna dreamt that way, and she has her own little story to tell.
So the idea here is something like this: Yuna needs to sing to the people of Spira about Shuyin and Lennes tragedy. She needs to do this so that the people of Spira can stop fighting each other. They need to understand that there are more important things to life. So the killing of Shuyin and Lenne sort of saved Spira. But again, Yuna is not happy. Nor Lenne for that matter. So everybody is happy except us. And again, you have to loose in order to win. And THEN...
There is this long part before the end of the song, where there is lots of repetition of one sentence:
"Let it stay" : This is all the things Yuna would have wished to be different. All the things she wished would have stayed. After the long trumpet solo, there is this long trumpet blast. Thats Yuna whistling for Tidus. The blast is sort of the whistling sound.
So thats it i guess. Cant believe that no one has ever thought of this before. I truly like the idea. Its sad, without being overly romantic. Please enjoy! I really had a fun time making it.
