You know, much of the purpose of the org, is to catalog amv's. Even the crappy ones, but perhaps the more important... Almost "secret" purpose is to help those creators that have a block. Maybe by treating this almost as a state of place where you can improve on where others have "failed" (nothing being failed if it's finished).

If you think it's bad, and you think there 'ought to be one. Go make one.

But in an anwser to your question, no.
Not really. Myself, I don't specificly look for songs or bands. I just watch what people tell me to, or looks cool.

if you think an amv is bad, the best thing you can do is give it a dietailed OP on where it went wrong and how the creator can improve for futer amv's.

I tried to find an AMV to Young Rascals - Good Love, and I found one. I won't way which one, but trust me, it sucked.

I usually don't search for specific songs. It's always nice when you can find a video to a song you like but it's not like you can expect it.

I searched for a specific song a few weeks ago, since I'm wanting to use it in one of my next vids. It had actually been done a few times (which surprised me, as it's not a very well-known group), and I found one combination that sounded promising. It even had a decent star rating. But (and I say this frankly because I haven't named the song or video), it was simply awful.
However, that doesn't upset me at all, because it means that the song still hasn't been used to its full potential (which I can, in turn, attempt to do). It's all a matter of how you look at it.

Whenever I want to even out my star ratings, I search for AMVs with songs that I like. I don't expect much that way, but sometimes I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Here's one example. CCS videos have been pretty lacking, in my experience, but this one's actually pretty cute - and it's not bad for a first video.
