Yep. At first, I was going to go for strikeout text there instead, but SubStation Alpha gave me trouble, so I went ahead and replaced the phrase manually. That's why I had "the same" in quotations.

Okay, I still need an avi/wmv/mov to mpeg converter. All the ones I've found either had spyware on them, turned out to make my shit look like... Well, worse shit. Or a combination of both.

Help?

Avi: Tmpeg
WMV: Tmpeg + Avisynth

For .mov you might need EOvideo or something... I can't remember if that is what it is called.

tmpeg won't read DivX encoded crap.
EO Video won't encode to mpeg1.

And what's this about tmpeg + AviSynth? 0o

Try converting the files to huffyuv with VirtualDub - you'd use an avisynth script for the wmvs (the tmpgenc program I have opens wmvs just fine - you just have to select 'all files' to get the vid into it). You might have to strip the audio off your xvid files and convert it to wav (keeping the video separate) before Tmpgenc will take them. It doesn't like some of the audio files used in xvid videos.

Premiere 6.5 can import mov files, you can then reencode them to whatever you need off the timeline.

Make an AviSynth script as follows.

Divx encoded avi: Avisource("C:\directory\filename.avi")
WMV: DirectShowSource("C:\directory\filename.wmv", X)

'X' is the framerate of the source video.

Then drag the avs file onto the TMPEG application to load the file.

Yeah... I said that in the help forums a while back... I don't know why I didn't recommend that first. : /
