OMGZ UR TEH LOSAR!!!111ONE [ridiculed for AMV making]

Costuming outweighs editing on the scale of Things That Look Weird to Random Bystanders, so I don't really have to worry about it.

Besides, I'm way out of high school, so other people's opinions aren't that important.

I've never gotten flack, but then only about three people IRL know I edit. One doesn't care, one seems to think it's kinda cool, and the third has probably already turned me in to SA because I was intensely stupid enough to give him a CD of my videos.

Next, I'll be slamming my hand in car doors and stumbling in front of trains, but that's life. I've seen worse, and I'm too old to be bothering to defend my dorky little hobbies to other people. I enjoy it, and it doesn't consume my life to the point where I don't do anything else, so it doesn't matter.

At least it doesn't take up all my shelf space, like, say, building matchstick replicas of the Eiffel Tower.

I can't say I've ever been ridiculed for making amvs. Well, my wife thinks it's a waste of time and I should do something "creative" instead.

My kids think it's great that I make amvs and seem to like what I have come up with. My girls want to try making them too.

a few points

1. Young people don't often ridicule their elders, at least not to their face.

2. Most people my age figure you can do whatever you like.

3. Some think it's just that midlife crisis thing.

4. My wife says its better than sitting up at the bar getting drunk.

My family thinks I'm weird anyway so editing doesn't really make them think too much less of me

Now..other adults..(ie other parents) tend to look at me a little oddly when I tell them what my hobby is..but like oldwrench said..

A few people were suspicious, but when they see what i really do they have a change of heart and realize it takes talent, and that im serious about it.

2. Why would someone tease anyone for doing something with their spare time. My friends and I have a deal going, I don't constiantly ridcule their masterbating habits, and they don't diss me for my amvs.

Makes sense ya know?
