Photoshop or After effects?

Photoshop or After effects?
Which is used for what? I know what after effects does, but some people where saying your could use photoshop for the same things... which is better?

Yeah, well like everyone else said.
Photoshop technically has more image editing capabilities, and AE is suited for effects in video/stills in general. Photoshop cannot mimic everything AE does, and same goes for AE similarily.
Actually it can if I become a real smartass out of it,
and it'll be really stupid anyways.
A better can't really be determined at such general conditions, but a combination of both would kick ass.
