Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

*hands you a cookie for such a well-informed, reasonable argument*

If geeks want to put a SWEP3 trailer online, they can form StarWarsEpisode3MusicVideos.Org and put it there. Phades' site, Phades' rules. If you see an LOTR vid listed, you should dutifully report it to the mod box for deletion. There really isn't any gray area here.

I think there was a moment of confusion here. It looks like the SWE3 trailer was NOT using anime and looks like it has been yanked. (The link does not go to a video anymore.)

The LOTR trailers some people are referring to WERE done with anime footage using the trailer audio and are perfectly acceptable.

Check the original post, there's a rogue ubb code tag at the end. The video is still available here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=53366

Thanks for the correction....the rest of the post is still right though. I would expect that to get yanked but who knows???

The #1 video on the Org once was an Underworld video... It's been removed since then.

If there has been a crackdown on non-anime videos, then I was not aware of it and I apologize. I'd like to ask the mods to remove my Star Wars and Zelda videos.

I think Zelda is ok because its Japanese and anime-ish, like Final Fantasy. I'm not sure though. As for the others, you could alway use html to link them in the body of your profile. Maybe under the heading 'My Non-Anime Videos', and in your forum sig. That's how I'd work it if I had a way to direct link/the desire, to post my non-anime videos.
