- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Trailer: Star Wars Episode Three
I recently made what I believe to be the first trailer on this site for Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, as footage is limited to just the initial teaser trailer released by the official Star Wars site. This trailer is currently hosted by PLPFilms. Combining text with dramatic music to bring an epic feel to the upcoming movie. Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Star Wars: Episode Three by myself, The Perfect Soldier.

Unfortunately, you aren't supposed to have this video entered.
New Video Entry Rules wrote:You should only enter videos that meet the following criteria:

2. The video is an anime music video. For the purposes of this site, an anime music video is defined as a music video where the majority of the footage comes from anime. For the purposes of this site, anime-style video gamecut scenes (such as Final Fantasy) are considered "anime".

I don't make the rules. If they've changed it, they should say so on the video entry page (the one I linked to). Note that that's not for uploading to the server.

Because you can have non-anime stuff in an AMV - but only if the anime footage is preponderant.

I don't feel strongly about it. I was just telling you in case your entry gets deleted and you don't know why.Suzuki_Akira wrote:If you feel strongly about it, we can talk it over with Absolute Destiny.

Because they were added to the database before the crackdown on non-anime videos.Suzuki_Akira wrote:So then why are many other sources that aren't anime on the Choose Anime page?
Also because it's entirely possible for an AMV to <i>also</i> have non-anime footage in it. As long as <i>most</i> of the footage is anime, it's considered an AMV. (Don't ask me to define "most" as it pertains to this definition, because I don't make the rules around here.) But those non-anime sources must still be listed for completeness.
Examples: "It's Tricky to Make a Music Video" contains a short clip from "Clerks". My own "NERV Evening News..." shows Terry Gilliam suffering "a fatal heart attack" in <i>Monty Python and the Holy Grail</i>. AbsoluteDestiny (note: <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... ">Absolute Destiny</a> != <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... Destiny</a>)'s "Do It Right (Shake It!)" has live-action footage near the end, IIRC.
