The "how did this fall threw the cracks" award is :? .
I voted it best artistic, because while I felt that AS' video was pretty good, I didn't think it was terribly "artistic" in the sense that I felt artistic was.

Just my opinion on it.

Good artistic video, It's not quite my cup of tea per-say, I felt it just repeated itself too much. I kept hoping at sometime the screen would sorta clear out a bit and tell a more clean story aspect.

Still good though.

Awesome stuff man, I love the flow of the editing style and the suble emotion behind it all. This is my kind of video.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Your music video made me want to go out and buy the series.

Great video. I don't at all regret giving you the award. It is very deserving of *any* of the four things it was nominated in and it was a shame it did not.

...thanks for making my decision on my VAT Guest Award easy ;). I didn't know up until Saturday Night :P.

Check it out guys!

At last :) I loved this video and have been eagerly awaiting when I could dl it. Excellent job!

Wow.

Bloody wow.

That was awesome. I loved how the it was the visuals pushing it along rather than the music.

Kudos!

great video, I was suprised this didn't win anything. I was expecting it to grab at least the Instrumental category.

Dwchang's award was right on the money ;p

Very sentimental feel. This would have been my vote for the category had my video not been in the same one ;p I voted it Instrumental instead.

Heh, and if you can imagine my confusion when they started playing Jbone's video for Best Sentimental at the con. :p Everyone in that category must have had butterflies while awaiting the results after that accident. :)

You should have seen the 'almost' finalized beta that I sent out. I ended up removing a lot of footage. (Yes... there were even more overlays at one point...) I'm not sure how much more I could have removed without changing what I originally saw in my mind. As for the story though I thought it was a simple one and I think Kalium's quote puts it best:
Kalium wrote:Maybe it's just me, but I'm reading this as an epitaph and warning to any who might see it. "Here's what we were, what we did, and what it came to. Be careful, lest you walk the same path."
Glad you liked it though.

Cool. One of my goals whenever I edit is just this, to get others into a series. Last Exile is currently my favorite series and if you like this video I highly recommend Fluxmiester's Last Exile video, Images, set to Coldplay's song "Politik".

Once again thanks. ^^ The Vat guest awards made the con for me. :)

A lot of people said they thought I would win Instrumental. I'm kind of glad Graven Images won though. He spent a lot of time on his Arjuna video and it is very good also. :)

Thanks. I did spend a lot of time, but mostly because I'm just slow. :? I was very surprised to win Instrumental, I thought yours would take it for sure. I think I went back and replayed this one more than any other video from the contest. It's really haunting, both the images and music stay with you. It also revived my interest in Last Exile.

I still feel that way.

And it's still an amazing video.
