Are you refering to the manga? I don't seem to recall that happening in the anime - it's been quite a while since I've watched it, though.

I'd have to agree with Gaav here - the show made it a point to introduce characters you immediately like...so you're more angsty when they knock them dead an episode or two later. To avoid spoilers:

ya a picture does real good ^__^ but i still dont know who he is ^__^, hmm is he one of those 4 guys that bunchu sent after them or is he the one that works with that one old guy in the clouds. so many people, so very confusing. wait, isnt he one of the prince that kohiko was protecting? wow its all going thru my mind in a flash, must wath whole series again @__@

He's the cute 'soft' guy at the end of the anime, who you see in flashbacks with Taikobu - he dresses in pale colors, doesn't say much, always (in the episode he was in) has a calm passive sort of smile, and he's the one who reins in Taikobu in the end. If not for the flashbacks, you'd think they just tossed him in to have some sort of 'ending' for the anime. >.> <.<

But he's cute and sweet. Maybe he has more of a role in the manga...I used to have some of it, but never finished reading...

never got around seeing the last few episods

last episod i saw of it was when they finaly went back to the kingdom and was fighting daki and her 2 sisters. So i missed alot after that battle im guessing.

this the one that's set in the Japanese shogunate wit that giant devil cat thing and ppl commit suicide just because... it's fun. I don't know why, but I LOVED that talking cat ;p too bad IC doesn't seem to want to play it now...

Why does nobody mention the greatest scene of all anime, Taikobou's Densuiken.

"My super special secret weapon. Seinin PEACH! It's not just any peach though, it came from the Seinin world, and it's full of lots of alcohol."

Love that part where he wraps his legs around Raishinshi's head and backflips him onto the ground ^^. Taikobou drunk is really a treat to see.
