Hello all,
I had my hard drive crash earlier this year and I'm just now getting around to rebuilding it. Its a long boring process of downloading my favorite AMVs from many of you as well as recapturing source footage and rebuilding my music collection. However, out of all the things I had backed up on that drive the two things I didn't have backed up were both of the AMVs that I put together. If any of you can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am looking for:
The Tick - Brak - Metalhead
FLCL - They Might Be Giants - Man Its Too Loud in Here
Thank you
ChefyBuck
Hard drive crash :-( Can you help me recover my AMVs?

My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...

Actually, I have a PC from 1997 that works perfectly...PCs don't "go bad" from age, they become poor from mistreatment, and of course, less efficent over time...MikaelJuha wrote:um err, i wish i could help lol.

Anyway, sorry, I can't help either...wish I could. Backing up your files to CDs is always a great thing though...this is definitely a lesson to be learned.

As for backing up AMVs, do it. I have 3 DVDs worth of AMVs (the equivilant of around 22 CDs) and I back them up as soon as I get about 4 gigs. That's because I have DVDs avaliable, but, CDs are the best choice for those who don't have DVD burners (which is a lot of people)

I would suggest using Google and finding good Hard Drive Recovery software. I know it exists. But you might have to pay for it.
You could also go to a PC repair shop. They might have equipment that can recover the data because it is still there. You just can't get to it.
But if your using the same hard drive that crashed I wouldn't bother with all of this. You probobly have already overwritten what you want back.
