Example: Just because things blow-up in two action movies, doesn't mean they're the same. :?
Only thing I did notice of "Naruto...walking down the DBZ path?" is that Naruto is almost the new DBZ in terms of popularity in the anime and AMV making worlds.

Well... that and... asmuch as you guys seem to hate to admit it, the creator loved (loves?) dragonballz and is actually influnced by it to create naruto... So, no matter what you think, he's a big fan even if you're not.

I think he even did a guest spot in a reprint of db manga (correct me if i'm wrong?).

That was great Voices_Of_Ryan, except you shouldn't generalize.
Never talked about the creator and I love DBZ.
George Lucas was influenced and inspired by Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress", that doesn't mean Star Wars is in anyway related or up to the same level.

 George Lucas' "star wars" was not,
but Naurto was. So :P

But hey, I don't care either way, both animes are great, so who am I to give a damn.

Indeed.
They're both good so never mind.

I don't necessarily hate Naruto, but I also can't say I have interest whatsiever in seeing it. The first few episodes didn't impress me much.

Veg is right, though. One Piece and Naruto borrowed from the same source (DBZ). To say one sucks and the other is the greatest thing on earth is just...*boggle*
