AWA Panel (Meri & VegettoEX)
I'm not sure how customary this kind of thing is, but we're showing a special multi-editor project's "premier," so I'd like to "announce" that, I suppose ^^;;.
<B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... eri</A></B> and <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... ">I</A></B> were invited to do a panel at AWA this year (read: next week!), and we wanted to come up with some really fun things to do. Rather than sit and show our own regular videos for an hour (boooooring!), we came up with a number of special things to show. There's going to be some "alternate" versions of some of our own videos, there's going to be a couple videos from first-time editors that blew us away last year, and there's going to be... <B>*gasp*</B>... the "<B><A HREF="http://templeotrunks.com/dbz_amv/">Doomrider</A></B>" project.
I forget how long it's been "in the works" (what, a year and a half? two? something even more lame?), but the fact remains that it's nearly done. We're only missing a single track (Cell Game), and even THAT has an editor, now (we just won't have it until after AWA). Other than that... it's complete. And it's gorgeous. And we can't wait to share it. The 17 "tracks" ended up being shared among 13 editors (4 wound up with two tracks each, mostly in the interest of just finishing the darn thing), and quite awesome-ly, a good portion of those editors should be at AWA!
So anyway, if you're coming to AWA, we'd love for you to pop in and check out the project (and any other cool things we'll be doing) at our panel. Plus, right after us is the <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... iel</A></B> & <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... lad</A></B> panel (right?), so come get an early seat... or something... :P I'm farily sure we're <B>Friday @ 2 pm</B> in the VAT (and if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me and make me look like an idiot for not knowing when my own damn panel is).
Also... errr... we'll have DVDs for nice and cheap ^^;;.

I think I'll come to your's and Vlad's panel at the end just to get seated for EX and Meri's panel.dwchang wrote:First off, thanks for the shoutoutVegettoEX wrote:Plus, right after us is the <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... iel</A></B> & <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... lad</A></B> panel (right?), so come get an early seat... or something...![]()
(heh *THE* Daniel and Vlad panel eh? Makes it sound all serious and epic
) and I'm sorry I couldn't take on the DBZ Doomrider Track in question (Cell Games...who did you get?). I was busy with DDR and my now defunct AWA Pro entry.

Re: AWA Panel (Meri & VegettoEX)
In the end, Jeff volunteered to take the Cell Games track (OMG, friggin' awesome! *dies*). But, I really love what we have in the project so far. Anything Jeff does can only improve it further!dwchang wrote: First off, thanks for the shoutout(heh *THE* Daniel and Vlad panel eh? Makes it sound all serious and epic

You guys are on after us, right? I take it you'll be around for moral support (I know I'm gonna need it). We'll cut out with enough time so you can set up without running late. Is your panel gonna be called "The Gods of Romance"?

Re: AWA Panel (Meri & VegettoEX)
Actually our panel is *after* Mike and Meri's panel. In reality, I think our panel will be very light on effects based on the vids Vlad and I discussed. Also I suck at effects so even if that was the topic, I'd have no input. You must be thinking of VladCastor Troy wrote:I think I'll come to your's and Vlad's panel at the end just to get seated for EX and Meri's panel.VegettoEX wrote:Plus, right after us is the <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... iel</A></B> & <B><A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... lad</A></B> panel (right?), so come get an early seat... or something...![]()

Yeah we're after you, but I re-read Wagner's e-mail and we're after you *and* Tim/Will @ 4 - 5 p.m. I believe you're 2 - 3 and Tim/Will are 3 - 4. And yeah we'll be there for moral support.MeriC wrote:In the end, Jeff volunteered to take the Cell Games track (OMG, friggin' awesome! *dies*). But, I really love what we have in the project so far. Yeah, we crapped up the order. Us, Will & Tim, You & Vlad. At least we'll all be cozy together for at least three hours :P.
I demand "Gods of Romance" be listed in the con booklet.
