I think I'm gonna run with this idea all Eva-Bebop Style. Here's a starter. I think it will be a good way to get started in After Effects.

What do you guys think?

does remind me of the style samurai jack uses. I can't remember it clearly enough to know how well you mimiced it though. I'd have to see an episode of Samurai jack again. Looking interesting so far ^^
