In the end AMV make some people happy, personally prefer to watch an AMV than the actual video (if it exists) the artist made for the song.
It's great to see how some can "manipulate" the POV of an anime.
With AMV we can see other sides to them.
People can also get the longing to watch a certain anime just by watching a video.
Know that has happened to me since some AMV pick at my curiosity.

anyway i think my "jollies" as you call them "go crazy" and "become sugary" and "lock your amv up in the closet and proceed to have their way with it" when i see one thats sad because otherwise im like oh thats really cool

hmm i duno if i would lock myself in a closet with a lap top and watch amvs till i died, but who knows maybe down the road of life i might choose too <like when i'm 90

but you know if i were that intimate with an amv(s), man i would have to build a "TOUCHING SHED" then bring the lap top over there, and some robes, and lotions....then i can give out VIP passes for the touching shed to strangers who also like amvs as much as i do....and from there.........

good thing i'm not like that, infact i think they are just darn cool, amvs that is, and are a growing pop phenomina like britney spears,
but then again i'm sure there is some crazed person out there with a Touching Shed with britney spears pictures all over it on the inside with........

life can be strange i guess
