But hey! I'm a teenager and I don't make the same posts over, and over, and over... (at least not most of the time)

I do it simply for hobby. I made a video for my boyfriend once, but it was just something I did in the end for me, since we broke up before it was finished. Sometimes I use certain subjects for inspiration, but most of the time, I'm the driving force behind my AMVs.

Everyone and their damn mother did sappy crap this year

Well the truth is, I think this is just one of those years that alot of people are taking a look back on things and maybe trying to make changes to not only their style, but their overall outlook on life.

And outlooks on life start with your hobbies.

To me there are 2 forms of art, hobby and actual art...
While hobbies sometimes (and generaly) progress into art, most never take anything seriously enough to bother trying to turn it into art rather than a hobby (Picaso was out for more than a hobby, Beetoven, Paul Cezanne)...
Perhaps, because generally art is more draining on your time, emotions, life, relationships.

i still don't see the distinction.
give your definition of hobby, of art, and then of the distinction?
