Super Milk-chan Show on Adult Swim, but......

Post by angelx03 » Mon Sep 06, 2004 2:34 pm

Anime News Network wrote:News from Dragon*ConAt Dragon*Con this weekend Cartoon Network announced that they will be airing The Super Milk-chan Show in 2005. This is the first time that Cartoon Network will broadcast an ADV series. The only other time Cartoon Network has ever broadcast ADV titles was when the broadcast selected episodes from Evangelion, Nadesico, Dai-Guard and Robotech on Giant Robot Week.

Cartoon Network also stated that they do not expect to license any more Case Closed. The first two seasons, 51-episodes, of Case Closed are currently scheduled to air on Adult Swim.
Obviously, Adult Swim is going to use ADV's second dubbing; the one with the American jokes.

I haven't seen the show myself, but according to animeondvd.com's Chris Beveridge, the second dubbing is infinitely funnier than the original Japanese script... :?

I'm quite dissapointed that Case Closed may be getting axed. It's by and far my favorite show Adult Swim is currently airing. And I don't tend to buy DVDs for shows that are so massive unless they have atleast 7 episodes per DVD...

I quit watching Adult Swim after they began their policy on giving up halfway through a series, even if it has a high viewer rate.

I would have prefered to have seen all of trigun, I don't remember them getting halfway, I knew that one day I saw the thirteenth episode, then next week, boom! Episode One again

I was watching DBZ on Cartoon Network... The Frieza Saga just ended, Bam - straight back to just before Goku shows up to fight Nappa and Vegeta. I was so pissed. But that was ages ago. Guess they still haven't changed :(

Ah well, what can you do?

I know I saw one of the episodes near the end (it was the one with Midvalley the Horn Freak) while on vacation in A.C. before Otakon 2003... but at that point I hadn't seen Trigun yet, so I didn't have much idea what was going on.
