Login Troubles

I can log into these forums to post. But I am having trouble gettign to the main page.

When I try to log in I get this error

'Authentication failed. Please login again.'

Clearing the cookies dont help, and I tryed getting a new pasword. Only the 3 or 4th attempt works. And it fails after I leave the page.

Please note I can log into the forums just fine.

I had this problem when I first joined - it didn't go away until I made a new account. >.>

Few tests -

When you cleared your cookies, did you click 'delete files' and 'settings' and then 'view files' to make sure you manually delete any cookies that don't get killed during the automatic 'delete cookies' option? This website has at least one that likes to stick around in there - you have to delete it manually. This only works for Internet Explorer.

If you're using a different browser, you might just try getting around the problem instead of fixing it - Opera is a free browser you can use, with the benefit of resuming local downloads (which you can't do with IE). You can get it here:

try configuring your firewall to accept all cookies....thats what i did & now ts works fine

Ok get this, this is the only way I am able to log in.

I click on the reactivation link in the 'new password activation' email

then from that window that I click on 'Site home page'

Then from the home page I can log in.

After I close that window or leave the site I have to start all over again
