I've seen the video, it's not bad. The intro is ok too, but really, you could have cut it to about 4 seconds (the stuff at the very end) to show the studio name, and gotten pretty much the same overall effect.MomochiZabuza wrote:i would also like to remind EVERYONE that this discussion was about the length of the intro and not the size ok thats all i have to say
The idea of an intro, or outro is to 'brand' your name into the minds of people watching, but in a positive way. That's why commercial logos, always use short repetitive sequences.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Point your gun of self-righteousness in the other direction, Beo. If the people encoding those bumpers that are longer than the videos knew how to properly encode - then there wouldn't be a problem and you'd be right. It's not my ignorance that results in other people making 1minute bumpers that take up 30+ mbs - it's the ONE WHO ENCODED IT.Beowulf wrote:2. The argument that a bumper takes up too much space in the encode is only made by people who have absolutely no idea about comprerssion.
Since when does a person get called an idiot for complaining about the idiocy of others? That's a little dumb, no offense. You don't have to be a noob to compression to notice other people can't compress for crap - it's actually the opposite.

/To be fair, if you can encode that huge bumper to take up little to no space, then it's just something to skip, and not a major problem. My complaint was about those who have huge bumpers and who can't compress them.

That's okay, I was replying to Beowulf, not you. ^.~MomochiZabuza wrote:im sorry i do not know what your talking about
But if you're curious, I'll explain. Beowulf says that if you can't encode, that means I'm stupid. I didn't agree with him, so I said as much.
As to your thread - read the last paragraph I wrote, it was a general reply to the topic of this thread.

Ahh right you are. It never occured to me that someone could be a big enough moron to not hit the "2pass 1st pass" button but since thats what you were complaining about in the first place, it should have.Arigatomyna wrote:Point your gun of self-righteousness in the other direction, Beo. Actually, I see it a lot with wmvs - and you know how big those are (with crappy quality despite the size). The last one I got was literally 60mbs for a 1:30 vid, with all that extra space (about a minute extra) going to the 'exit' sequence. o.OBeowulf wrote:It never occured to me that someone could be a big enough moron to not hit the "2pass 1st pass" button...
Makes me shy away from anything over 5 seconds. ^_^;
