That's normal, and it'll happen again if you do it again.

It was the same for me at my first contest which was Sakura-Con 2001. That was the one in the small room at the Holiday Inn north of Seattle. (I think it's a Comfort Inn now.)

The first one I entered was For Yuuhi at ACen 03. I didn't get to watch it cause it was on too late. It didn't make it to finals. This year at ACen was the first time I made it to finals with my Emcee Sak video. It was kind of nice hearing people laugh at the video while I was there.

I remember MY first AMV competition. Hoo boy.

The first one I tried to enter wad Otakucon(I know I f'ed up that spelling big time) with my Yu-Gi-Oh! Video, which I cannot remember the name of(Go me).

That failed. I don't remember why... So it never got entered for some reason. I think I couldn't upload to the ftp or something.

ANYWAY.

The first contest I actually entered was FITcon 2003. I sent in "Fear Dot Hack". At this time I was also a rival/student/whatever you want to call it but definetly not friends with YCSTR.

Just to counter my "Horrible trailer" he sent in his matrix trailers, as well as "Heero Must Die".

I did everything I could to try to get to the convention, but my parents were asses.

In short, I won Best of Show.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I WAS.

I still brag about it to wuwu this day. :3
