I just put up a set of sample images for the "set" templates and what the fullscreen template looks like with Helen's screencaps from her "Forbidden Memories" video. They're under the "images" folder of the FTP's "outbox".
Nothing fancy, in the end, but I decided that it'd be better to do something simple (in this case, piece together advertisements to create a minimalist "set") that I can complete in a reasonable amount of time and not screw up than to (continue to) try anything more complex and time consuming/error prone. By error prone, I mean that it has proven to be really difficult to get my hand-drawn pencil images to not clash with the composites, so I'm foregoing that approach.
I think I will use some hand drawings, in a yellowish-beige tint, for the short "intermission" clips at the end of the first part and beginning of the second part. For the credits (which I think should be done to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World") I'm selecting stills to go with the lyrics that can be shown next to the words as they fade on and off of the screen.
I'll still need screencaps for all of the videos other than Forbidden Memories, and it'd be nice if everyone could e-mail their finished "script" to me so I can know for sure which ones are final without spending a few hours I don't have scrubbing the forum.
I think this might be the longest single thread the AMV forum has even seen. I know it's the longest single thread I've seen in any forum, so now I'm becoming reluctant to read the whole thing in search for anything.
This weekend I'll probably run a test of setting the narrative, bumper, and video for Forbidden Memories together to make sure everything maintains sync and looks good. After that, I'll work on the other videos as their scripts and screencaps come in.
I'll also release a revised order listing that should include everything that didn't appear on the (now really old) one I posted before.
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.
