Songbird: I haven't placed the video yet because my terribly efficient process for doing so involves watching the set of videos in a half dozen permutations before picking the one I think best. As such, it takes me a while to get through each video. Just rest assured that it has a place, even if I haven't put it on the list yet.

I'm working on the narrative "set" right now. I'm actually going for a photorealistic look now using composited images, having had a lot of issues with trying to get my rough drawings (which would work about the same as the finished ones would) to look good with the TV composite and animation work.

I just put up a set of sample images for the "set" templates and what the fullscreen template looks like with Helen's screencaps from her "Forbidden Memories" video. They're under the "images" folder of the FTP's "outbox".

Nothing fancy, in the end, but I decided that it'd be better to do something simple (in this case, piece together advertisements to create a minimalist "set") that I can complete in a reasonable amount of time and not screw up than to (continue to) try anything more complex and time consuming/error prone. By error prone, I mean that it has proven to be really difficult to get my hand-drawn pencil images to not clash with the composites, so I'm foregoing that approach.

I think I will use some hand drawings, in a yellowish-beige tint, for the short "intermission" clips at the end of the first part and beginning of the second part. For the credits (which I think should be done to Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World") I'm selecting stills to go with the lyrics that can be shown next to the words as they fade on and off of the screen.

I'll still need screencaps for all of the videos other than Forbidden Memories, and it'd be nice if everyone could e-mail their finished "script" to me so I can know for sure which ones are final without spending a few hours I don't have scrubbing the forum.

I think this might be the longest single thread the AMV forum has even seen. I know it's the longest single thread I've seen in any forum, so now I'm becoming reluctant to read the whole thing in search for anything.

This weekend I'll probably run a test of setting the narrative, bumper, and video for Forbidden Memories together to make sure everything maintains sync and looks good. After that, I'll work on the other videos as their scripts and screencaps come in.

I'll also release a revised order listing that should include everything that didn't appear on the (now really old) one I posted before.

BTW I vote for "what a wonderful world" by Armstrong over, well, anything really.

On second thought, I vote twice. :D

(I've seen longer I belive, "the critic" in oppinions, and "Weird screencaps" in anime.)

I noticed on the project page my video is missing some information. In addition to End of Evangelion, Death and Rebirth should be listed too since I used it.

The song I used is "The End of All Things" by Howard Shore.

About the monologue. Well um...I'm kinda having writers block. I have no idea what to write. I'm not a very articulate writer so if any one wants to help me go right ahead.

Good news is that I have almost completed my video and it will be done very soon.

And oh yeah, welcome back Otohiko :D

anyone look at the "set" drafts yet? i'm pretty sure i like the fullscreen version, but not so sure of the widescreen, and thought i'd gather some thoughts before putting in a lot of time integrating them into the video.

if anyone has a huffman they haven't uploaded yet, now would be a good time. i'm having a bit of a break from my surprisingly full summer schedule, and would like to get as much done over the next week as is possible.

i'm working through an updated song order right now.

Yea, um, as I said before, 1 - I don't have the bandwith to upload large files anymore 2 - I lost my huffy files :(

Is it possible to make do with my high-bitrate renders? I mean, they are all I have (and I tend to think they're as good as they can get).
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
