Blast. My computer crashed (like it always does) so I lost everything i had typed here the first time. So I'll have a short version this time.

I can't figure out the syntax on the Forum Search thingy.

What can't you figure out? It spells it out right in the search window.

1. Theres a box.
2. Type shit in it.
3. Hit search.
4. Lots of stuff comes up.

Aside from that, I mean it tells exactly what everything is... what specifically are you having trouble with?

I want to search for things like
-Pants
results not containing pants
"Big Pants"
results containg the exact frase
and what not.
It says you can use AND or NOT, but I keep getting the same search results.
When I searched for Pants I got a post about Paris. There was not one Pant related word there! -Pants same result, "Big Pants" same result, ANDPants, NOTPants, AND Pants, PantsAND, exetra.

I find it impossible to get any relivent results.

"shit" pulls up 2093 (probably 2094 now) search results. I don't think it will help him find what he's looking for.

Big NOT Pants would work... except that you can't search for terms containing only 3 characters.

Stuff NOT pants works.

I dunno. It's strange but I'm not sure there's anything I can do about it.

I can search for three letter words.... three is the minimum (I read the faq wrong).

I'll get back to you if I know more.

Acctualy, It pulls up "4185 matches." 2093 is how many topics contain it. That number didn't increase, but the 4185 did. And I didn't find what I was looking for either. Could you suggest something else?
