Your posts would not be deleted if they weren't so very very off-topic. Keep that in mind the next time you feel like arguing with each other or having random conversations in threads.
My favorite video: Grilled Steak Trigun I LOVE THE COPS! Rargh!
I ain't 2 proud 2 beg! haha school rumble is great

To be fair paizui. We didnt go that far off Topic in "Just say "no" to pointless threads". We were discussing in a civil manner how to give VS threats a second chance, if we could set up a Supervisor or as )v(ajin put it "Mini-MOD". So that Administrators would not have to waste there time on them, because we are all aware that you are tired of Locking or/and Deleting these Threats.

Anyway there is alot more pointless topics on the forum than most VS threats ive seen. For example...

▪ Avatars
▪ So what's on YOUR desktop?
▪ Why do people think digimon is gay
TheKorovaMilkbar Q: Why does Fei where those hot pants half-way up her crack? (cowboy bebop)
Kracus A: because it is easier than wiping

I'd like the idea of mini-mods and have been thinking about the idea for a while... but it's not that easy in this forum software to limit abilities. You are either a mod or you are not. You can limit which individual forums you have the power but the powers themselves are harder to limit.

(Then there's admin which is the next level up)

Gee, that's weird...the )v(ajin as Mini-MOD posts are still there!

What gets trimmed from threads are things that are total spam like:
Cloud Clone wrote:I eat soup from a can.
or really off-topic posts like:

ahem.... )v(ajin when you lie baby jesus cries.....

it also makes me want to hurt you...

I'm right, your wrong......
As for the rest of your post:
Knù¢klés wrote:Anyway there is alot more pointless topics on the forum than most VS threats ive seen. For example...

▪ Why do people think digimon is gay
If you haven't re-read the thread or noticed that it was changed to "Just say "no" to pointless threads" instead of pointless VS threads. And while it cites VS threads as an example, I amended my statement to be more general and forgiving at the same time.

The avatars thread asks where to find anime avatars and people responded. That seems pretty cut-and-dry as being an informative thread.

The desktop thread probably will be closed eventually when we decide on how to deal with picture threads in general.

The digimon is gay thread is now locked but hadn't been in the past because every now and then someone would say something thoughtful.

No matter how stupid a thread might start out as, they can still be saved if enough people write intelligently later on.

Did i say they were all deleted? :? No....

Just the happy conclusion that we came to at the end of that discussion...

That wasnt off topic? it was apart of again another discussion we were having about why people spam on forums to get there post count up, and i said that the whole post count should be completely Disable full stop.... which )v(ajin said it had been... and so i corrected him...

and quite frankly.... your taking that post rite out of context....
paizuri wrote:The avatars thread asks where to find anime avatars and people responded. That seems pretty cut-and-dry as being an informative thread.
yes.... and i see you deleted my post in it ;)... whilst you were editing the tilte, not that i mind, because it was apart of a large discussion....
paizuri wrote:The desktop thread probably will be closed eventually when we decide on how to deal with picture threads in general.
it's still a pretty pointless threat, right? hardly a highly intelligent discussion about anime...?
paizuri wrote:The digimon is gay thread is now locked but hadn't been in the past because every now and then someone would say something thoughtful.
again still as pointless as a verus threat?... and thank you for locking it.
paizuri wrote:No matter how stupid a thread might start out as, they can still be saved if enough people write intelligently later on.
Which Surprisingly! doesnt happen that offend...

I did notice, thats why i said....
Knù¢klés wrote:"Just say "no" to pointless threads".
But not many people have noticed your changes and its still used to discus the pointlessness of VS threats...

But this is about Deleting members post not pointless threats..... in many cases you could have just edited the posts that were partly off topic and left a message, giving that member a public warning, so other members will learn from there mistakes, instead of deleting and then having other people to do the same thing... An Endless Cycle?

Many of my posts that have been deleted or moved? (to were i dunno?) were done so, because besides my opinion on the subject there may have been a word like, Ass, penis or so on... and in thoughs cases you could have just edited those words to something more appropriate and left me a warning to discourage others... mayb an idea to consider?

I would ask if you ever do sort out a system of mini-mods could i be one... but i get the feeling Paizuri truly dislikes me... so ill leave it at that... lol

I notice a common martyr syndrome among some of the discontent people in this forum. Have you ever considered that your own actions may be the cause of your censuring? If you would simply try to work with us instead of against us, you will find you have better results. Consider the tone of your posts. Do they come across as bitchy, whiny, sarcastic, antagonistic? Well then don't be surprised if they're taken in a negative light.

It's not an endless cycle if new people are introduced into the mix. I have seen a lot of new people mess up once or twice but then figure out what's wrong BY THEMSELVES. But the people that are going to screw up are most likely going to screw up regardless of how many public warnings we give to other people. The people that screw up oftentimes don't read the rules, so why would you expect them to read enough messages to find any public warnings? The endless cycle occurs when people refuse to listen and thus subject themselves to that kind of repetition. I would like to think this is the exception and not the norm.

The majority of people's posts are moved because they are either offensive or irrelevant to the topic at hand. We are not going to modify your posts so you appear nicer to people, we're just going to move them.

Sure the post I quoted was taken out of context, but at that point and for 5 posts afterward, no one was talking about the relevance of the post count and how it may affect the creation of pointless threads. That's why those posts and posts like that are cut.

There have been post deletions since before there were mods even (*gasp* Phade used to delete posts). Get over it.

Get people who can be trusted and you shouldn't have to worry about limiting their powers physically - just tell them what they are allowed to do. If they're good mods, they won't do anything outside that. If they're not, they don't deserve to be mini-mods in the first place (or they can be temp-banned, or put on probation). You do need to control your members, but if you can't trust your mods you might as well do everything yourself, no matter how slow things go as a result.
