Jasper: er... Not sure what you mean with the bumpers for the DVD. I was just going to have Rose4emily send me the narative segments in huffy when he finished them, complete with your bumpers in them already. If its going to be done the same way.

I was only worried because most of the bumpers have text that goes right up to the edge of the screen, which pushes them into the overscan area of the television when played on DVD. Unless TMPGEnc has some kind of encoding function that keeps the screen out of overscan areas, I think you'll have to manually add a border around the narratives/bumpers. I wouldn't worry about the actual amv because well, that would just be too much work.

Of course since I'm remaking the bumpers with real names (can you send me a list?) I could just keep the text away from the edge of the screen. But then it would make everything really squished, especially for long titles like "Requiem for a Nightmare."

Yes, I'm aware of Chris Nguyen's org nickname, but all of the tentative tracklists that I've seen use his real name. I know that having the real name would make it stick out a little, but IMO, "aznraver1022" would stick out even more. Now what does Chris think?

Uh, use anything but aznraver1022. Seriously it's the dumbest name ever, but it's what i started out with like 3 years ago. You can just use "Chris" i guess... or "mizdahsparklez" (that's my AIM name).

When creating this piece a parallel between “Edward Scissorhands” and “Spirited Away” was used to become the epitome for “A Boy I Knew…”

At the heart, “Edward Scissorhands” is about a young girl who becomes enchanted by a mysterious stranger’s unearthly ability to bring beauty and love into her life. Their story ended too soon as the young girl and the stranger were torn apart, never able to see each other again. Similarly, “Spirited Away” illustrates a friendship that ultimately ended as a priceless memory.

Danny Elfman, who has written hundreds of scores for various movies, wrote this finale piece for “Edward Scissorhands” in 1990. The most remarkable aspect of this composition is its ability to tell a story in and of itself. Everything from the choral elements to the boy’s chorus exemplifies this magnificent fairy tale. Danny Elfman couldn’t describe it better himself:

"...if there's one thing I really love... it's sad music."

the first sentence seems phrased oddly, specifically the phrase "was used to become" - you usually don't use something for it to become something else. also, 'epitome' might not be the right word. maybe 'archetype' or 'foundation' would work better. so my suggestion would be "When creating this piece, a parallel between “Edward Scissorhands” and “Spirited Away” was used as the foundation for “A Boy I Knew…”
