What about a "X vs. X" forum?

people get mad about the pointless threads like "X vs. X" so why can't they make a forum that will alow topics like that? sure i know they are prolly busy but that is just my thought on the matter... I think that a "X vs. X" forum would do good to reduce the pointless threads on other forums...

You are asking for a forum (or section of the forum) where you can place threads that have been deemed 'off-topic' in the General Anime section. You are asking for an 'Off-Topic' section. That is not going to happen.

We had one. It was killed. They are glad it was killed. They did not mourn it. It will not come back. They will not create a new version for things that are no longer considered pertinent to other sections of this forum.

If you want to know why they won't give you a section for off-topic anime threads, go to the 'Site Announcement' section - skim back a page or two and read through the very very long 'Off Topic Section' thread - that should tell you all you need to know about off-topic threads.

the reason is well, this site is www.animemusicvideos.org not www.OMGWTFIWANTTOCHATWITHSOMEPPL.com so the only things to be discused should be anime music videos. br greayfull u have general anime

the general anime is a good forum. i use it to see what anime i should buy next to make AMV's with. therefore it has a use.

I use General Anime as a place to read the uber long threads and laugh at the people who make stupid replies. Also good for info on certain anime.

To have VS as an entire theme for a forum would really, REALLY get dull after a while.

I mean, no matter who fights who, you'll always end up with the same kind of posts - "I think so-and-so would win because his attack is the most powerful" or "so-and-so just wouldn't lose to some-other-guy because he's so cool" etc. In the long run it just doesn't create an interesting discussion - there's really no point.

The general anime forum creates a lot of different topics - some generate more of a discussion than others - but in the long run, there's always more to talk about there, than ranting on about how so-and-so would totally kick that-other-guy's butt.
