You don't see too many of these anymore on the ORGBeowulf wrote:Good AMV = Good Song + Good Editing

This of course is only my opinion. But I agree with you I try to sync as much as I can to lyrics and tell a story behind the video. But I also try to focus on the rythm of the music when it allows me too. Most of the time I'll try to find a scene that match the lyrics but also goes with the flow. Like if it mentions fighting but it is in a slow song. I'll try to find more of a dramatic scene where for example a sword is coming down slowly or someone being struck and flying backwards in slow motion. It doesn't matter if the song is overused or not. I was the 13th person to officially use the song Numb before another 100 used it. I knew the song was going to be overdone but yet you can still have an original idea with an overused song and anime. It is just how you present your video and the story behind it. Anyway I hope this helps. But do what you want and not worry about what song you use. For me it comes from deep within and I express how I feel sometimes in these videos. Which gives them there true meaning.DuoEnigma wrote:In your opinion what makes a good AMV? I am very picky in making AMV because i try to sycn with the song as much as i can, and also try to tell a story behind the video. However, i have a thing of selecting animes that aren't that popular. Well i want to know you opinions thanks
I agree strongly with that. If the vid is entertaining and you enjoy it it's good. I don't think you can tell someone how to make a good video.Zarxrax wrote:A good video is one that entertains you.

There is no formula to a good video. Good videos simply are.
