Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

An interesting video, though it was a bit confusing.

That was AWESOME!

anytime some one blows up small cute and furry animals (and the sorts of) is a great time.

Definently a great project and a worthwhile video. mad props on this one.

Because of the crazy, post 9-11 world, it's more difficult than ever to talk about how all this came together into one unrepeatable, unforgettable afternoon way off in the hills. As far as putting you in contact with an M.G. owner, most of the people involved with the non-anime side of this project would rather remain anonymous, and I have to respect that. My apologies.

Pretty much all I can tell ya is I bumped into a guy who owned a 'real' submachine gun a few years ago at a party, (my first reaction: "!!!") and he introduced me to other 'into it' folks, over time. But be careful and prudent. The laws are VERY strict (and with reason, duh!) and they can change overnight at the stoke of a pen. But you will meet some far-out people within an eclectic, somewhat underground hobby.

And in meeting you they will meet an anime fan, and probably think some of the same things.

Maybe lending them a copy of 'Gunsmith Cats' will get them into anime, and who knows, depending on who you get introduced to, YOUR next AMV might get to use an MG-42, or that big ol' 20mm!

I actually enjoyed the first half as much as the second (I'm not a gun person, I grew up around them - it's freaking Pennsylvania, everybody and their grandmother blows up deer for fun  - and I'm a lil' bit jaded)

*breath*

but the concept was tons o fun. I loved the shows/mini-AMVs grinding to a halt; that cracked me up.

Not to downplay the effort put into the second half; I just wanted to cheer for the first part as well. :)
