Watashiwa Nozomu Eien

Post by Bote » Mon Jun 21, 2004 7:08 am

I was given this song as a chalenge at first. I didn't approach it lame as someone else would and put a lot of effort in it. Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien was the only anime I've watched that had material for a Romance video and enough fitting footage. There was a catch though. I had to go through a lot of theme manipulation (details on the info page). The first thing that an average viewer will notice are the effects. Please, do try to look further than the effecting 'cause I did the effects much easier than the actual concept. I used them to make the timing better and to make the video look a bit unique. Many "different" things can be seen in it and I sure hope most of you'll notice how many details I paid attention to.

The editing time spent was averaging 6-8h a day without a break from May 1st 'till June 19th. Hmm, it took me sooner than I thought, considering all the 3D animating I did, but it was a lot of blood, sweat & tears.

Programs used:

Adobe Premiere 6.5 - For main editing.
Adobe Photopshop 7 - For making masks and manipulating with actual stills.
3D Studio Max 5 - For animating the effects and doing 2 backgrounds.
VirtualDubMod - Hence the final quality awesomeness.

You have more info. on the org's page. Hope you guys like it.

Wow just watched this  OMG SO PRETTY!! Gotta love those sparkly sparkle things. 100% more sparkley than any other vid. If the opinions had a sparkle rating, this vid would be like, an 11, or something.

Also. KNGE is really touching. There've been a few AMVs before but this is the first one which does the story justice. Good work!

I just hope the losers in the anti-effects crowd don't give you to much hate for this.

I could've done A LOT more sparkles if I wanted, but I'd kill the video that way :P . Thanks for the good comments, glad you liked it. KGNE is one of my fave. animes to and I wanted to do it justice with this video.

I wouldn't know why since I've put the effects only in places I wanted to improve the timing. Oh well, can't please everyone. :)

Hmm, someone should point out the video does have more than effects to it. I liked that you managed to make it so I understood what was going on even though I haven't seen the anime. Of course the sparkles were pretty and nicely syncing but they're hardly the main point of the video.

I thought that it was a good vid overall. The only part that I didn't care for too much was the flashing white border thing throughout the vid. I thought it was a vit distracting. Really like the sparkles though. Thought they really added to the vid. Also I think that you did a really decent job with the story you were going for. It's not at all covered with effects.

recommended. :D

Nice video, good job on the effects and the mood you created, though these sidebars reminded me just TOO much in Koops Rei-Mix video

I was wearing headphones while watching it and noticed some flaws with the audio, they sounded like the cd had some serious scratches and wasn't extracted correctly. In some parts it really disturbed me from the video as well.

yeah, I watched this last night since it caught my attention using Kimi-ga. It was pretty good, except for the frame beats. Totally unneccessary and uterly distracting.

 I get most of inspiration watching Koop's videos. Even though I was inspired by Damaged I didn't copy everything from it  .

Sound problems? I checked 100's of times on many different players and there weren't any probs. I did cut out the song and make different wav exports 3 times, but I doubt there were any errors cause of that. The song was ripped with Audio Go Go and the CD is brand new :? . Dunno really. Thanks for watching JCD.

Thanks again for the good & detailed op.

Eh, teh white border :P . I knew the first thing people are gonna get attached to are the sparkle effects. They are quite refreshing and innovative comparing todays videos :) .

I simply couldn't let so many background beats slide away. Timing is my thing :P . They were only meant to be there and just be noticed, not followed. But, thanks for watching Ruby, I like most of your videos. :)

Hmm, I downloaded the video from the direct link... if it was from the donut I would say something got messed up on my comp since I get crc-errors from there... But anyway, if noone else is noticing it I guess something got messed here :)
