I think these "theses" should be noted.

Huh? I didn't; I only started in 2002. I was just honestly wondering how many people start with something other than anime on TV, that's all.SarahtheBoring wrote:Scintilla dear,
84. You are not smarter, prettier, or a better person because you like certain shows and consider other shows "beneath" you; neither are you smarter, prettier, or a better person for dismissing someone for liking what you do not. You are also not smarter, prettier, or a better person because you started watching anime before your buddies.

So true, but how often, in humor, we see our own predudices exposed.SarahtheBoring wrote:
Also, this is meant to be humorous opinion, and thus not taken to be gospel truth. Not to mention that disagreeing with one part does not negate the entire list.
Mmkay? mmkay.

We each have our own tastes, not better than others, or more correct, just different. 8)
Oh, by the way, HeartbreakerByZep, I checked, Martin doesn't have a trade mark on "95 Theses", (he must have missed that

Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Damn, that must be why I haven't gotten in hold of any worthwhile support.
Oh well, I'll just have to scoff in the corner then.

A bit offensive and on-a-soapboxy, but some true statments and fair advice.
Oh, and Fansubs are not the spawn of Satan, ok?
That's an understatment!82. If you are well over the age of consent and go on and on about how cute (in a physical way--we don't mean Pokemon here) any anime character well under the age of consent is, you are creepy.

I think the dude who wrote those theses seriously needs to get laid.
As for #82, I think Robin from WHR is really hot...but then again I'm a Canadian. #'s 3, 7 and 30 are also bollocks. I couldn't agree more with #28 however.
I ogle!33. If there's a chick who's cosplaying in something tight or revealing, do not ogle her, do not grope her, and do not lamely scam on her with the mistaken notion that she wants it. Compliment the costume and move along.

49. Nobody wants to hear your MIDI.

Nooooooo!!!87. Nobody thinks you're cute, smart, or clever if you sprinkle your conversation with Japanese phrases you picked up from anime or tack honorifics on to your friends' names

Yeah I guess he's right...unfortunately94. Japanese snack foods are overrated.

I didn't think 24 was true

That's not always true. I'd say not even usually. I've seen far too many fansubs that have been more accurate than official versions. This is probably the main reason I keep fansubs 'for reference' even if I get the official release24. Fansubs are almost never going to be better than the legit version for the simple reason that fansubbers do not have access to the original scripts. Fansubs are not more "authentic" or "pure" because the subtitling was a "labor of love" as opposed to a professional job. If you come across a translation that feels awkward or a cultural detail that seems out of place in a legitimate release, consider the very high likelihood that such changes were mandated by the Japanese production staff.

#78 - ahhh.... I see.
No wait, I don't
So, wait, does that mean the age and consent level of the viewer, or the age and consent level of the characters?
And does the first then lead to the conclusion that an old, retired person will enjoy hentai the most (unless someone forces him/her to watch it), or if the second case it's true - old, retired people make the most arousing hentai characters?
WTF???
I don't understand this logic

hehe, remembering Fanime, there was this one cosplayer, if you've seen sorceror hunters, Chocolate Misu. In her skimpier costume, not her normal one. I was hanging out with this guy I met at the con, and he's all "Now THAT'S a nice costume."azulmagia wrote:I ogle!33. ...he also kept wanting to take me to go "holler up at the ladies", or something, and then he's all "...you're not lesbian are you." He seemed sort of disappointed.

...anyway though, I agree with some items on the list and not others, but I didn't find it that funny.
