Ooo neat :o I'll be 22 in a few weeks as well. How about that!

And yeah, been watching/editing AMVs since I was 17, and been into anime since I was 14. Thankfully, I still have just as much interest in this as I did when I first started, if not more. So I think it will keep my interest for at least a few more years. It's certainly been quite beneficial to me in terms of things I've learned and people I've met.

As far as young creators go, didn't some 11-12 year old girl submit a pretty good video to A-Kon last year?

I think she was 10 and the video was THE single worst video I've ever seen in 5 years.

22 in a couple weeks. Just started making videos back in March, and I've only got one finished and uploaded so far. Plenty more on the drawing board, but I wanna make sure they all blow my first video out of the water (which shouldnt be too hard....heh).

I mean, I'm constantly hearing "you're too old for cartoons" and what not - Now I feel better :D (Cause I'm just a little 18 year old punk :P)
(Takes Yoda type posture) Yes my child, some day you to can be an elder anime lover.

Ah yes, 18 seems so old, you think. I thought 30 was so old when I was 18, then I thought 40 was so old, soon I was 40 and it didn't seem so old. Now 40 looks pretty young to me. My youngest girl will be 18 this fall.
I'm sure you can enjoy this hobby till way past your 50th year. I do and intend to keep on.
My dad likes some of my anime, he's 80. 8)
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Awesome. The rest of you are whippersnappers. Whippersnappers! ;)

I turned 27 last week, and normally feel like everyone's cranky spinster aunt here, so the range is nice to see. I'm a big supporter of seeing what a variety of people can do with a particular hobby, rather than always seeing the same kinds of viewpoints (no offense to the usual demographic).

I only started this a couple of years ago, so I guess I was 24. But then, I didn't start watching anime with any regularity until I was out of college. Good thing, too; I probably would have stayed up far too late on school nights. :P

I'm 24, and teaching a 13 your old how to make AMVs, his first real vid isn't bad, but still has a lot to learn. I've been into anime for about 4 years now, and made my first AMV about a year ago, turned out to be really crappy and isn't on the internet, thankfully.

I'm 31, and only started making videos a few months ago (is that a record?), but I've had ideas for years... It's only recently that the technology has brought the learning curve down to my emotionally stunted level...

I have ambitions, I'm just lazy...

I started when I was 13 and I'm now 15, and I think I've matured with my AMVs. However, I think practice makes perfect and that even if you start at 25, it may take until your 27-28 for you to make a good video. Some people work so hard on their first videos though that they enter with a bang (Himemiya's Deluge is a great example). But then I worry about outdoing yourself...
