Love is a Battlefield

Post by Vlad G Pohnert » Sun Jun 06, 2004 4:30 am

After a few requests for it, I've now posted my Love is a Battlefield video up for downloading

At present, I've provided an indirect link to my website since I've only had time to make an mpeg1 version. One I get some time I'll also provide a Xvid version locally.

Any feedback is appreciated

Awesome video. The only thing I had a problem with is the 3:41 flashing didnt continue a bit longer.

But it's not a big deal :P Awesome video.

Very nice, 2 thumbs up ^^

I'm a big fan of the original gundam series, including 0083, and I thought you portrayed the scenes to the song very nicely, High emotional content. Editing is excellent as can be expected of Vlad. I have no real complaints. good job.

Wow.. thanks everyone.

Gundam 0083 was a personal favourite of mine and with a lot of videos focusing on very current stuff I wanted to make sure this show was not forgotten

HOT DAMN! This one's a keeper. Though I never saw this particular Gundam series, even on Cartoon Network (was it on CN?)....the editing is beautiful. It reminds me of Brad Demoss' style of very simple, conventional editing - no effects and just let the quality of the visuals tell the story and be carried by the music.

Now I only mention Brad because of Akon and when I sat in on his little amv panel he described his editing style.

I love the "soft" motion of cross-fading transitions and overlays. And the overall synching with the music was very...amorphous. That is it didn't feel like you intentionally punctuate every single drum beat or guitar riff. Of course it is a rather layed back pop-rock song. It all flows very nicely.

Quite honestly, this video and others like it are very inspiring to me and simply shows really good editing.

Kick Ass~ :D
