Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Metal Gear Solid - Bring Me To Life
The title of the AMV is "Death In His Face Is When He's Truly Alive". Once again, FilePlanet had to be used as a host for the video, but that may change soon for this AMV.

Yes: non-anime, which includes American cartoons (CG included) and Live-Action. And American-made video games, GTA 3, StarCraft, etc... If it's a direct link, then I'm not sure about the ruling, but Dethmajor has a GTA 3 MV to the theme song from COPS, and it's good and under a direct link. In/Direct = OK, Local = big no no.
No: Video games that originated in Japan (Final Fantasy, for example), cartoons that originated in Japan, that stuff's all good. Some games aren't allowed, but that's a different story.
Metal Gear Solid, I think originated in Japan, mainly cause it's a Nintendo game (for the most part).
But games like StarCraft and Diablo II, are a big no no. Those two people got flamed to hell and back, and then there was a debate, and since it was an American made game, it was ruled as a "not possible for upload" name.
If you''re not sure of it, ask around. You'll eventually get an answer as to whether or not it's safe to upload it. Most likely, it's gonna have to be a Direct Link, but if it's one of the reasons I listed under NO, then it can be Local. But keep in mind, it's best to ask first than suffer the consequences later.

If there was a vote I would vote a yes for the Japaneese games to be on the ORG (MGS:TTS Final Fantasy Chrono Trigger & Cross ect...)
I have 3 FF vids up right now And was planing on doing a Trailer to Escape From New York's Snake Pliskin (With footage of Pliskin (Snake) MGS2 SUB) See This Thread
But ya I would sing a balot voting for this (and other Japaneese games) to be put up on the ORG but thats just my OP.

I absolutely hate FilePlanet. No matter what file you download, even if it's some extremely obscure file, FilePlanet will say that all of the free servers are busy. It will say 465/465 for the download. Like there's really 465 people downloading that same obscure file as I am at 3:00 in the morning...

Actually the line is regarding a queue for that particular server not the file itself. The servers are dishing out a lot of files which is the reason the lines are so long. I don't care much for fileplanet myself but you can download stuff for free. They have Tribes 1 and 2 for free (legal copies) as well as an awesome 20 something minute preview of Half Life 2, so I download stuff there regardless of the wait.
...Anyways, the guy does have a direct download now so the point is moot.
