My friend put this site in my 'favorites' folder on my old comp and downloaded a bunch of vids. After watching a few, I decided to get more - ones I liked (rather then watching the ones she downloaded). I went crazy and downloaded every amv I could find that was under 50mbs (I had a 6 gig harddrive at the time). Then one day my computer died and I bought a new one. I realized my new computer had a dvd rom and wondered about my anime dvds and whether or not I could make vids like the ones I'd been watching. A little search and wow, I had windows movie maker already on my computer, and ShowBiz as well. I did some google searching, found out I could take that anime footage from my dvds and change it into a format windows movie maker could read. So I did just that. A single program and I had ripped about 46 episodes into avi format to use (at a gig per dvd). After that, I had no reason to hesitate, so I made vids out of the footage. Why? Because at the time there were no amvs for the romance pairings I wanted to watch vids for.
2) How long did it take you to make your second video (time gap between 1st and 2nd)
About 30 minutes. I only used 2 dvds for the first vid and I still had about 30 some episodes I hadn't even touched. So the footage was there, and I'd been looking for specific vids long enough that I knew just what I wanted to make. Actually *making* that video took hours since I had a lot of footage to sift through to find the exact scenes I was looking for.
3) How many AMV's have you made?
90 officially, 89 that have premiered here, and some 50 that were killed partway through and never finished. I like to keep the partials.
4) About how many do you make per year?
Around 87 finished ones, but this is my first year. Ask me in five years and it would probably be 20 per year.
