Media Burial Videos - Evergrey, Linkin Park, Nightwish, etc.

Post by rubyeye » Sat May 22, 2004 12:24 am

Just found this site hosting quite a few music videos from some of our favorite bands:
Media Burial Videos

Not a bad resource to keep tabs on, as I assume they shuffle through videos now and then. Grab what you can.

*note
I'm still not a big fan of EVERYGREY, but I still think it would be cool if someone were to make an Anime music video with one of their songs.

I would, but like most progressive bands, they suck unless they're live.

I saw the Linkin Park one as I was curious about them using the anime medium.

Hmmmmm....overall it was very sketchy, took a second to become tolerable.
The video made the song out to be more angst then I thought it was. (have to admit though, I wasn't really paying much attention to the lyrics in the song anyways)
Also, the band looked kinda funny animated like that

Now here's my beef: What is this? Like the 4th or 5th single?

How many singles can you take off an album that technically wasn't made with singles in mind?

Linkin Park is decent, but I think they're just trying to drag the sun around with them even though their time in it expired months ago. :?

Also, Seether is good, but a song featuring Amy Lee is not needed.
Especially "Broken", that song was only ok. I liked "Fine Again", "69 Tea", and "Your Bore" much better. Heh, would have been funny if they chose "Fuck It" instead of "Broken"

All the other bands though, I either didn't like or had not heard of them.

And by chance, do you know how often they swap out videos?

I think Evergrey is a great band, and have been since I first heard their stuff a few years ago. 'The Inner Circle' is one of my favorite albums released so far this year, and I'd recommend you guys listen to the whole thing if you like 'A Touch of Blessing.'

Hmm I actually liked that Seether/Amy Lee Combo. That's just me I guess.

The Linkin Park video seemed kind of rushed to me and I didn't find it at all interesting until it showed the band, which after that it was... meh, ok I guess.

Yeah, I was amazed, and that song is old, they made a half dozen new ones before going back to an older song. I always liked AMV with that song. I thought they should do an AMV (more like take one of many from the internet) and they actually made one. Though it's pretty much a "live" performance AMV. They could have went all out.

I just saw the Linkin Park vid recently. The anime style seemed very similar to the style used in Kill Bill vol.1. From the sketch marks, to the eyes, to the limited movements. ...So I believe that it was the same people/studio for both Kill Bill and the music vid
