Can't download anything...

I'm having a problem with downloading @_@

Everytime I find a video I want, I click on the link that will allow me to download it, but it never works! Instead it directs me to the login page. And when I try to log into the site, it says my username and pass is incorrect.

I'm only allowed into the forums. Anyone know why this is? I'd really appreciate the help...

It's the two week waiting period. Unless you donate, you have to wait. Next time, please read all the FAQs that answer questions like this.

While you wait for the 2 weeks (if you don't want to donate and bypass the wait), you can still get the Direct and Indirect hosted vids. In your super search, choose 'direct' or 'indirect' and you will get a list of those videos to download.

I don't know about 'smart' remarks, but you can't expect people to read the FAQ's unless you tell them where they are. Just saying FAQ is misleading since the FAQ at the top of the forum doesn't say anything at all about uploading or downloading - it's just for the forum. That really needs updated so it mentions stickies and where to find need-to-know information and the *real* frequently asked questions. >.<

To actually say where that FAQs are: at the top of the forum there are two big, sticky threads marked "Uploading Videos" and "Help Me: How Do I Download". I personally think there should be some script for the first time anyone visits a forum to ask them if they want to read the stickeys before they proceed, because that would probably be just as effective as and much nicer than criticizing the newbies after the fact, but there isn't. So it is that we really do have to say trite stuff like "read the FAQ", "Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a>", and "Google" and keep putting up links to guides, FAQs, and past threads.

Oh well, as long as someone learns and no one gets bent out of shape.
